Sophie and the Rising Sun plot

When the Asian Grover Ohta arrives in a small South American town in 1941 under mysterious circumstances, Sophie's life changes forever. They develop a relationship that becomes a lightning rod for long-buried conflicts that erupt into bigotry and violence.
