Aozora Musume plot
After the death of her grandmother, Yuko is sent by her father to relatives in Tokyo. However, these are not happy with her arrival and treat her badly. She goes in search of her mother who also seems to live in Tokyo. After overcoming many difficulties with the help of an admirer and the great blue sky, she finds her happiness.

The first of many films Ayako Wakao made with director Yasuzō Masumura. It is an entertaining, but now quite dated drama with references to the Cinderella story. Too bad about the overly generous ending. That detracts from the rest of the movie.
