The Moon Is Down plot
During World War II, German troops invade Norway and occupy a small town, among other things. Colonel Lanser, who is in charge of the occupation of this small town, believes that fair dealings with the inhabitants lead to cooperation, rather than overt hostility to them. Lanser tries to achieve this cooperation through the pastor of the town. However, the Norwegian resistance quickly springs into action and they begin to sabotage German installations and equipment and they kill German officers.
