"It's not who you con. It's how you do it."

Harry Frigg (Newman) may not be the brightest enlisted soldier in the Allies' armed forces, but he takes on the toughest assignment of World War II. The Germans have captured five generals and Harry has to free them. It is obvious that the help of an attractive lady is necessary.
