Strange Awakening plot
"Their motive Greed! Their Method Murder!"
The tourist Peter Chance drives an expensive car through France. On the way, he takes a hitchhiker with him. When the hitchhiker gets out, it doesn't close the door and Peter has to bend to do this himself. At that moment, Peter is knocked down by the hitchhiker. Peter wakes up in a bed in a genteel bedroom of a strange house, where the attractive Marny Friend wants to give him a kiss. When he answers this, Marny rejects him. Peter does not understand this and he has to determine that he has lost his memory. Marny turns out to be the widowed Selena's younger sister, and she sees in Peter's amnesia a way to collect her late husband's inheritance.
