Despite the fact that director Darin Scott had few budgetary resources, he managed to get some relatively big horror names. Jeffrey Combs, for example, shows up here in a character that is not even very limited and plays by far the best role. The other members are of lower quality, but it doesn't really disturb anything. What is special is that every effort is made with computer effects to provide the haunted house with some extras. It often doesn't look like much, but it does provide variation in the threats, making the whole thing entertaining. The substantive story completely derails towards the finale, but for a while the film does have the space to explain all the nonsense for a reason that is somewhat well-founded. Furthermore, it is a poor production with little tension and/or impressive gore, but I must admit that I quite enjoyed it.
