"There's no escaping the storm"
Thomas Howell and Thomas Griffith accepted a post as lighthouse keeper on Smalls Island in 1801. They were supposed to spread the light within a radius of 25 miles to warn the ships of the deadly Irish Sea that surrounded the island. They were trapped in a terrifying storm that raged for months.

It's not often that I fall asleep during a movie. This was one of those. Dark, dim, misty, and in no way interesting or even mysterious. Actually, for a long time, just about nothing and nothingness. The attempt at artistic mixing of images, or whatever it might be, also failed. Yawn.
PS. Seen on the BBC where it was listed in the guide with Dafoe and Pattinson. So that is The Lighthouse of 2019. Too bad about this mistake.

In the beginning it was difficult to make a living, but then developments went too fast, ultimately ending up with a range of thriller and horror clichés. And then also a low budget production that visually looks mediocre. Not good.
