Pavel, a young student in 1942 Prague, hides a Jewish girl (Hanka) in his attic. Between the brutal war and the uncertainty of the future, a beautiful love blossoms between Pavel and Hanka. Then Hanka is discovered by Pavel's mother and her fate is in the hands of others.
