A strange little film. It started off relatively normal, but then the man spiraled from one absurd situation to the next, yet it all felt convincing.
The cast also did very well.
Furthermore, the film was not boring, partly due to its running time of approximately 90 minutes.
A cute little trifle.

A small, slightly absurdist, melancholic drama with a handful of dryly comic moments (thin ice!). It's very slow-moving, relatively little happens, and what does happen is quite absurd and/or strange. The atmosphere is bleak, and the main character (and everyone else, really) exudes that. The film teeters somewhere between boring and touching.

A very understated, dryly comical affair about a stoic engineer (Baard Owe) who, immediately after retiring, encounters all sorts of crazy, slightly surreal situations. The film is quite entertaining, and director Bent Hamer delivers a beautiful shot, but the characters and plot are just a little too elusive to truly impress. The whole thing falls short of good intentions.
