Mukidashi Nippon plot

Komatsu Taro (Toyone Yuichi) isn't sure what to do with his life after high school. He dreams of a house outside to grow vegetables and he actually manages to get one, even if it is an ugly house in an ugly place. To his own surprise, the girl he has his eye on also just wants to go to his house. Less successful is that his grandfather dies in an accident and that his alcoholic and unemployed father follows him to his sanctuary. Living off your own piece of land is not easy for these clumsy townspeople.
