"Who better to solve England's most puzzling mystery than these two international crime busters?"

The owners of the sinister house Morley have been killed in a mysterious accident. Inspector Winship (Don Knotts) and Dr. Tart (Tim Conway), two clumsy detectives, have received a letter in which the victim describes the accident as murder. Both the family and the domestic staff are behaving extremely strangely.
