Oliver's Deal plot
American businessman Oliver Campbell has a plan to get his hands on a huge amount of money in Peru. It is an old and long forgotten debt from the government to the population. As Oliver presses the authorities, Nurse Maria is already experiencing the first disastrous consequences of the plan. Her mother is gravely ill, but the government has cut health care costs to pay for the deal with Oliver. The operation that Maria's mother needs is no longer reimbursed. Maria is at her wits' end and decides to act desperately. At the same time, in a mountain village, a father and son also face the consequences of Oliver's deal. When the son is seriously injured, the father makes a choice that will have dramatic consequences for everyone.
