Peur(s) du Noir plot
Animated omnibus film in black and white, in which everything revolves around fears - real or imaginary fears, and primordial fears of the dark. The film opens with a story by Charles Burns: an insecure teenage boy falls prey to an attractive girl. Jerry Kramsky and Lorenzo Mattotti made a film in which people mysteriously disappear in swampy places. Blutch made a film about a kind of Spanish nobleman who goes out with four huge, bloodthirsty dogs. Marie Caillou tells the story of eleven-year-old Sumako, who falls prey to nightmares in a psychiatric institution with photographer/filmmaker/artist Romain Slocombe. In the story of cartoonists Richard McGuire and Michel Pirus, a bald man with a mustache finds that the house where he seeks shelter is not quite right. Finally, Pierre Di Sciullo made a few abstract inserts about the human condition.
