De Huizen van Hristina plot

Kristina is invisible. She cleans houses quietly and unnoticed. A different house every day, the same work every day. She is Bulgarian and has been living illegally in Amsterdam for a long time. Contact with her employers is mainly through letters. In order to get a grip on her life, she photographs the interiors of 'her' houses. Together, these photos form the house she inhabits in the Netherlands: a house that keeps her captive.
