The Merry Widow plot

Prince Danilo Petrovich falls in love with dancer Sally O'Hara, but his uncle, King Nikita I of Monteblanco, forbids them to marry because Sally is of too low birth. Embittered, she marries the old baron Sixtus Sadoja, on whose wealth the kingdom lives. When the old baron dies, Prince Danilo must court the young widow again, as the kingdom's financial condition is at stake. After the 1905 operetta of the same name by Franz Lehár.
