Il Cielo Cade plot

After the sisters Penny and Baby lost their parents, they are placed with their Jewish aunt and uncle in Tuscany in the summer of 1943. There the girls become isolated from the outside world in which war rages and horrors take place. Under the loving upbringing of Uncle Wilhelm and Aunt Kätchen, the girls are allowed a normal childhood for the first time. But the horror of the war is not long in coming here either.
