Als We Het Zouden Weten plot

Some time ago it was suggested by foreign religious groups that Dutch pediatricians regularly 'kill' newborns because they are too severely disabled. "If We Would Know" shows, without comment and very closely, how a number of pediatricians and neonatologists in the neonatology department of a hospital treat critically ill newborns with great commitment and dedication. We see the doctors at work in the incubators, where tiny babies connected to all kinds of equipment fight for their lives. They have long and difficult conversations with colleagues and the parents. In voice-over they talk about their work and the ethical dilemmas that go with it.
