After a night's sleep I realize that in this film Filip Peeters resembles the Samson character Van Leemhuyzen. And behaves that way.
Well, the latter can hardly be stated with absolute certainty: in none of the Samson episodes, Van Leemhuyzen's daughter was kidnapped by *immigrant* pimps and then kept in shelter and chained in an abandoned industrial building. It is also not certain whether Gert Verhulst and Hans Bourlon want to explore such a storyline in any seasons yet to be played.

In terms of design, this pilot for a television series has many similarities with comparable crime films. Despite the clichéd approach, it is an entertaining police film with, as usual, a whole row of suspects , who drop out one by one. The real culprit comes late.

Solid police thriller that treads the beaten track of such genres. Later developed into a decent series on the Flemish tube. Is somewhat in the same style of Flikken and Heterdaad. Not earth-shattering, a bit cliché and safe, but definitely.
In this film, especially compliments for Joke Devynck, a very good actress, who for me is not much inferior to Veerle Baetens. Koen De Bouw is also good in his role here. Film is, as so often, based on many coincidences, but remains fascinating and exciting. Not that you were on the edge of your seat, of course. Various suspects with various motives who then dropped out one by one. No unexpected plot twists.
I've definitely seen it before, but I couldn't imagine it. Even now this film will soon be gone. It really does feel like a double series episode.
