Elle S'appelle Sabine plot

In this documentary, celebrated French actress Sandrine Bonnaire portrays her younger autistic sister Sabine. Through personal archive images and current recordings, the viewer discovers the close bond between the sisters and gradually, but very subtly, the psychiatric institution where Sabine was treated for five years is also being criticized. Sandrine Bonnaire also wonders what it means to be a celebrated actress when your sister is "crazy" and the value of continuing to act.
