Four college girls, the virginal Jennie, the outgoing Carole, the spoiled Sandra and the wild Laurie, travel to Fort Lauderdale to celebrate Spring Break. Once there, the girls face several problems; Jennie is chased by musician Scott, Carole takes a break from thinking about her jealous boyfriend Chip, Sandra becomes involved in a romance with cop Ernie and Laurie is just looking for random men.

Girl meets boy because the storyline starts from the point of view of 4 girls who book a beach holiday. There is not much more plot and that is not the intention in these kinds of films that zoom in on the pleasures of sun, sea and sex. It's a bit of a shame that the humor isn't really present in a film that passes for a comedy. It's rather funny because of certain situations (typical blonde chicks, etc.) but without being intentional. A plus is certainly the strong soundtrack with some stage acts by rockabilly band The Rockats as an eye-catcher. The eighties vibe is always a bonus in such films. Considering the positives, I still enjoyed it. Fun fact that Lorna Luft is daughter of Judy Garland and half sister of Liza Minnelli.
Afterwards I found out that it is about the remake of Where the Boys Are (1960) . I've watched it now and it's better.
