Poignant portrait of some prostitutes in the capital Phnom Penh, Cambodia. They are condemned to a hopeless life on the fringes of society; their daily reality consists of violence, drugs and exploitation. They grew up in the Khmer Rouge camps and witnessed the genocide that devastated their country. With this documentary, director Rithy Panh gives these women back some of their dignity.
