Kunsten at Græde i Kor plot
Through the eyes of 11-year-old Allan, we get to know his bizarre family. We write the Danish countryside in the mid 1970s. The family's father, Henry, owns a grocery business and his hobby is to brighten up funerals with his emotional speeches. Henry usually has long crying spells at night and then it's up to Allan's sister, Sanne, to comfort her father. When there are no more deaths in the small village, his depressive moods become more extreme. Allan wants to make sure Dad can stay happy and makes plans to make sure there are enough dead.
