Le Colonel Chabert plot
The aristocrat Chabert returns to his palatial home to find that his wife has remarried. She had given up Chabert, the man she never really loved, for dead. Her new husband, who is richer by the way, made her much happier. To protect her new life, she calls Chabert an impostor and sends him to a shelter. However, he manages to escape and then wanders the streets where he befriends the impoverished people of the street. However, when his real identity is revealed, it is too late. That is why Chabert has decided to withdraw from the world of the aristocracy and join the poor people.
