Beperkt Houdbaar plot
In Limited Tenability, Sunny Bergman is inspired by her personal life, just like in her previous films. At 34 years old, Sunny is afraid of losing her attractiveness soon, while at the same time she is angry that women are constantly judged by their appearance. This inner contradiction is what drives a cinematic quest through a world where women are no longer tenable after the age of 35. The cosmetic industry is prospering and does not fail to point out their shortcomings to Bergman and other women. From crow's feet to labia, from hanging breasts to 'saddlebags'. Everywhere Bergman is subjected to a critical eye by plastic surgeons, who would like to put the knife in her. She will also get a story from glossy's such as the Cosmopolitan. Why do they pay so much attention to appearance, while also preaching that women should be independent and free-spirited? Or is that not a contradiction?
