Claudio, a wealthy rancher, takes his young bride Françoise to the "Tierra del Fuego" in Argentina. However, his wife is having trouble adjusting to the new life in the desert country. In addition, she is hated by Mecha, who used to be Claudio's mistress. During a party in honor of the bride and groom, Françoise meets Walter and is beaten by him. The following winter Walter returns and Mecha has a crush on him, but Françoise falls in love with him too...
