Tenderness plot

"The intimacy of the kill"

From the moment Eric leaves the juvenile detention center a few years later, the former detective keeps a close eye on him. He is convinced that the boy will not be able to resist killing. Depressive and gloomy story that remains inaccessible because the emotions of the two lead roles are so far from the normal that I can't understand a single word of it with the best will.

The interplay of Lori and Eric is quite well developed, it makes it really exciting. Whether that is a positive point for the film I don't know, it remains a really bad story. Certainly well played by those two - both the clearly psychopathic traits of Foster and the less obvious Sophie Traub, who actually because of this is even more in the subtlety on the border of insecure teenager and totally derailed. Very handsome.

And then some see the end coming. Well done. Not me. Maria, I can understand why Maria disappears so suddenly. She was of course bait from the start and was completely into the plot. Eric understands all too well that he no longer stands a chance to kill her calmly and comfortably, so he loses all attention for her. He had no intention of doing anything else with Maria—hence the evasiveness toward Lori; he doesn't see Maria as a friend or anything remotely resembling it. By the time of the 'exposure', Lori already knows what's going on. And Maria herself is automatically taken away by the police.

Friendly.

Atmosphere and camera work may be there. Actors are also convincing. Plot is a lot less: straightforward and somewhat easy. Had much more resident. 5/10*

Disappointing film in which a 16-year-old girl is fascinated by a boy who killed his parents. A half road movie in which very little happens. In addition, the tempo is also very slow. The characters could be interesting on paper, but they don't show up well here.
