"44 days of nerve-racking phone threats."
One day, the son of the famous news anchor Han Kyung-bae disappears without a trace. Soon the kidnapper calls the mother of the nine-year-old child and demands $100,000. Experienced detective Kim Wook-jung is assigned to the case and given the best equipment to end the kidnapping as quickly as possible. However, the kidnapper always manages to stay out of the hands of the police and is able to continuously give the parents new instructions by telephone. Which drives the parents to despair.

Quite a nice film that is indeed based on a kidnapping from 1991. That is probably also the reason why this film is to date the most visited film of 2007 in Korea.
What impressed me most was that at the end of the film you could hear an audio recording of the real kidnapper. Now 16 years later, the perpetrator has not yet been found.
