Nice, this omnibus of stories that takes place during Halloween.

A small sleepy town where it all goes wild during Halloween is the nice atmospheric setting. Five stories take place and the nice thing is that all these stories are connected and intertwine. A nice striking detail is that the characters of one story figure in the other stories and vice versa. This creates a lively dynamic in the individual chapters and in the film as a whole.

A small creature dressed in a dirty orange house suit and adorned with a burlap sack plays the connecting factor. He's the evil genius or maybe the good one. It depends on how you look at it.

In any case, the creature feeds feelings of discomfort and (partly) creates the precarious situations in which the characters end up. His appearance evokes an ominous atmosphere and that works pleasantly as an underlay for the stories.

The movie is especially entertaining. The stories are clever enough to keep you focused. They are slightly humorous and have an exciting structure. They are not very scary. It's not a hard horror. At most, they cause a sense of distress. Without exception, the twists and points in each story are very nice.

Also with very decent sfx and good acting.

Nice movie.

“Samhain, also known as All Hallows' Eve, also known as Halloween. Pre-dating Christianity, the Celtic holiday was celebrated on the one night between autumn and winter when the barrier between the living and the dead was thinnest and often involved rituals that included human sacrifice.”

Nice. Trick 'r Treat is a horror film that perfectly combines tension, pulp and humor into a very original whole. The different storylines work well, and especially that story with the school bus full of kids that disappeared without a trace, and the teenagers looking for it, is great. Werewolves, zombies, serial killers, supernatural dolls etc. It all comes along. Yes, these kinds of original horror movies make you want more.

Trick 'r Treat is a movie that has a very powerful atmosphere for Halloween. These kind of genre movies do well. Cinematographically I was very impressed and the story that a quatro entailed was also well developed. Just a great genre movie.
