Rarely have I laughed so hard and long at such beautiful dialogues! It's all really very infantile, but fortunately very funny at the same time. Sometimes slow, but just when you start to get bored there is another bizarre point that makes you laugh. There are many more striking situations that I can explain here, but it is much more fun to watch this film yourself (seeing = believing!)
Koen Wauters dutifully recites his lines and Nada van Nie is not the greatest acting talent either. It is also strange that George Kennedy (Oscar for his role in Cool Hand Luke) appears in this piece. The film I had on DVD lasted 75 minutes instead of 91 minutes. Sometimes I had the feeling that the story was illogical, but I blame the film for that. Could it still be a shortened version:?.

Dared to do it again last night, version on YouTube. As a Belgian, I was happy to see names like Nora Tilley and Fred Van Kuyk on the intro, although in retrospect their role turns out to be very small. I did not have high expectations of Koen in advance because this is a singer and his performance in My Blue Heaven (1990), which I previously saw, was already very poor. Nada Van Nie makes it all even worse, if possible, with the most pitifully bad screams, scream queen of Aldi! We have a so-called 'Warm sweater day' in Belgium, Nada definitely deserves the 'Horrible sweater day trophy'. Tension is okay every now and then, the scene with the drill is pretty gross, but the final settlement is downright stupid. 1 such flare beats the disaster in Enschede by a long shot.
