Down To You gets off to a very slow start. This is mainly due to the ugly voice-overs, the lack of chemistry between Prinze Jr and Stiles and some incredible personalities. It is therefore difficult not to turn off the film for the first 15 minutes, but the persevering ones are eventually rewarded. The story suddenly picks up at a good pace, the events are cute and the chemistry between the protagonists grows with the scene. So it suddenly became a wonderful standard romantic comedy. Such entertainment.

A bit of a childhood sentiment thing from back in the day when MTV did something about music. Last century, so - and actually Julia Stiles is already an icon from the period when MTV was saying goodbye to music.

A beautiful romantic film in my memory. That's a bit disappointing - although I'm still a bit fond of Julia, the film isn't that good - very well-behaved, very predictable, somewhat frumpy acting with a few not too good scenes in between. And the middle part is just a bit too long and has a bit too much bland humor.

“By the time you realize what the mistake you just made I'll be long gone.”

childhood sentiment. I first saw Down to You as a teenager and man, I was so in love with Julia Stiles. Still a bit, although I haven't seen her in a few films in the last few years (with the exception of the Bourne films).

Prince Jr. is a non-actor but here he is funny as the amorous and somewhat sad Al. The film is a bit too sweet for my taste, but the colorful and weird side characters are quite comical. It's all a bit too good and standard and a little more venom would have done the film well. But hey, it's all charming and that nostalgic value isn't it... And Julia, of course Julia.
