The film starts with Fanny saying goodbye to her mother, at the moment that she, together with other Jewish children, goes into hiding from the Germans in occupied France (and not as described in the synopsis above). The leading role is played by the young girl Léonie Souchaud, also not mentioned in the cast by Moviemeter.

The film tells about the perseverance and courage of a 13-year-old girl who tries to escape the persecution of the Jews together with other fellow sufferers. During the war years, the French organization OSE succeeded in evacuating many Jewish children to countries such as Switzerland, often in difficult and rushed situations, where, as here, the children ended up in a true adventure.

"Le Voyage de Fanny" is an impressive, often moving film with excellent performances by the children. Cécile de France and Stéphane de Groodt are also good in their (important) supporting roles.

Beautiful construction. Maybe sometimes a little too long scenes, great photography and a true event.

Compelling war film with an unlikely, but nevertheless true story. The child actors are all on a roll and come across as very natural. A beautiful, sometimes exciting film.

Very nice war drama about a group of Jewish children who are suddenly on their own and have to try to reach Switzerland on their own in a France full of German soldiers and collaborators. 15-year-old Fanny takes on the role of adult, something that makes her very insecure. She makes the decisions and literally carries the fragile lives of all those other children in her hands.

A story based on the testimony of a Jewish woman who really experienced it. The film is adventurous and sometimes exciting and has to rely on young child actors. Because this is more of a youth film, the collaboration and the German occupation are portrayed in a veiled manner. It is also not more sentimental than necessary.
