Mechanic Eddie Shannon (Rooney) meets Barbara Mathews (Foster) and thinks she has a crush on him. Barbara introduces him to Steve Norris (McCarthy) and Harold Baker (Jack Kelly). The two men want to rob a bank and ask him to drive their getaway car.
