Thirteen in a dozen action movie with Seagal giving the film a little something extra. Other than its weight I mean a totally uninspired lackluster rendition that is entertaining in a laughable way. While this time he still does quite a few action scenes (without really moving by the way) and even his own voice can be used unlike many other recent films of his.

The chief boss pops off the screen again in this straight forward kidnapping story. Paths already traveled are made more difficult than necessary, so that it still seems 'something'. Not really necessary, but on the other hand certainly not a weakness. Action is great and only a hero like Steven Seagal will kill a helicopter with his gun

What a weird happy ending by the way. Certainly the freeze frame on his smiling face was the height of feel good. Could appreciate it somehow (in a weird way), terribly wrong of course to sew such a scene after it Michael Keusch has more up his sleeve about Seagal, and if it's a bit Shadow Man oriented I've got something else to look forward to!

Tried a Seagal again after a long time, but again it was a drama. And then this one turns out to have a reasonable score compared to Attack Force and Flight of Fury, two other Seagal films by director Michael Keusch, who was mainly known for German films that nobody saw.

Shadow Man drowns in his muddled story and ditto storytelling style. It doesn't get interesting or fun anywhere, although there is a nice fight scene here and there. Seagal, as always, plays the same character and that is probably why any surprises are not forthcoming. 95 minutes later everything is cleaned up.
