Towards the end of World War II, a patrol of Marines secretly lands on the island of Siarago, which is still occupied by the Japanese. Their mission is to contact an informant who could tell how much has become known of General MacArthur's impending invasion of the Philippines. Unfortunately, it turns out that a new minefield has been placed on the route of the fleet and their radio has broken down during combat operations.
