Giuseppe Balsamo de Cagliostro was an illuminating magician and influential figure in Europe around 1780-1790, due to his close contacts with royal houses and dignitaries. He himself became entangled in a web of intrigue during the affair surrounding the theft of Marie-Antoinette's necklace and was expelled from France. Out for revenge, Cagliostro wants to overthrow the Bourbon family and take over the land using his black magic.
