Copacabana plot

"So LAVISH! So LILTING! So LADEN with LAUGHTER!"

Lionel Q. Deveraux (Groucho Marx) is the agent of Carmen Novarro (Carmen Miranda), and she is his only client. Hoping to receive double compensation, Lionel arranges performances for two at the "Copacabana" nightclub. Carmen has to play both roles: the Brazilian dancer Carmen Novarro and the French mademoiselle Fifi. But then Steve Hunt (Steve Cochran), the club's manager, falls in love with one of the two ladies.
