Mary Bryant plot

England, 1786. Mary, 21, is arrested for theft and is serving her sentence in a penal colony in Australia. During the 251 day journey, Mary gives birth to a daughter on the prison ship and in the colony marries fellow inmate William Bryant, a fisherman and drug smuggler. Together they dream of escaping.
