The Grudge 2 plot

"What Was Once Trapped, Will Now Be Unleashed"

In Tokyo, young Aubrey Davis (Amber Tamblyn) faces the same curse that haunted her sister Karen (Sarah Michelle Gellar). This special power brings out the worst in its victims, only to leave for a new body to take over. And so it happens that a group of people, who at first sight have nothing to do with each other, fall prey to this terrible curse one by one.

This is a very mediocre sequel. Not that I was so enthusiastic about the first part, but this is all a bit less.

The film is actually a constant repetition of the same kind of scare moments, which you often see coming. As a result, they no longer work for one meter. At times I found them especially laughable, although Scary movie 4 may be partly to blame for that, but it is certainly not a positive point for this film.

The story is also illogical, there is little or no atmosphere and the acting is not something to write home about. Yes, then of course you are left with very little, something that also translates into my appreciation for this film.

sequel to an already bad first part.

I think this is more intended for the Japanese market, because there it is seriously one of the biggest fears. to live for as spirit....

actually quite logical when you think about it.

but then leave that to the Japanese about it. Because I was quickly out of that "scary": hair.

there are exceptions : the ring 1, dark water. and a few more, were quite nice.

but this no ... big insufficient.

Better and worse than the first part. The sequel was exceptionally able to count on a budget twice as large as its predecessor. And you sometimes notice that. The quality is better and there is still more atmosphere than in the first part. Still far from the Japanese versions, but still. The main problem is the ramshackle script that mixes the scenes between Japan and Chicago, but at the same time makes it a mess. Due to the structure in fragments, you have some beautiful scenes here and there, but the atmosphere immediately dies because the story goes in a completely different direction. If it ever gets a reboot and they stay in America, they'd better watch recent horror movies like Mama, Insidious, or The Conjuring. More suggestion so that the real shock effects hit much harder.
