Old-fashioned Gothic/Gothic horror in a gloomy castle and with lesbian undertones, although the love of women is hinted at more than subtly here. Old-fashioned otherwise, but certainly not bad in the genre. A bit of the Hammer style, but here everything is still in black and white. Christopher Lee is somewhat subordinate here as the concerned father. Spanish/Italian co-production released under various titles: Crypt of Horror, Crypt of the Vampire, Terror in the Crypt or in beautiful local titles such as Ein Toter hing am Glockenseil and De Krocht van de Vampier. Despite all the vampires in the titles and Christopher Lee, the classic vampire does not have that much to do with it.
