La Llorona plot

In the first story, a woman with an illegitimate child is abandoned by her husband. Because her heart is broken, she kills herself and her child. In the second story, the child is taken from a Native American woman, driving her mad. The link between the two stories is the ring the women wear. In present-day Mexico, a man is murdered under mysterious circumstances after hearing a woman cry. Now the authorities must unravel this mystery and stumble upon the terrible history: the two stories.
