Friedkin's The Exorcist (1973), due to its enormous success, saw a slew of cheap knock-offs appear throughout the 1970s. Not surprisingly, the Italians take home the prize for most bizarre Exorcist clone. Aptly titled "Naked Exorcism" in the UK, it's a true product of its time and place from start to finish. Unfortunately, this also means it's somewhat dull in its construction, and during the slower phases, you have to rely on its rather quaint, unintentionally funny nature. The champagne scene steals the show, in my opinion. Hilariously stupid writing and acting. Furthermore, things are occasionally shaken up by images of a satanic sex cult, and the moments with Piero chained to the bed are exactly what you secretly hope for beforehand. Trash!

Would be a great Blu-ray release for Severin, who has more films like this in his catalog.
