"The Story of Dizzy Dean!"
The Pride of St. Louis tells the story of Jerome Herman 'Dizzy' Dean (Dan Dailey), one of the most colorful figures in baseball history. He is discovered as a pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals and from then on his star rises through the Texas League to winning the World Series with the Cardinals. On his way to the top he breaks many world records. After his career is shattered by an injury, he manages to overcome his moral problems and starts a new start with his wife Patricia (Joanne Dru).
