Sportman van de Eeuw plot
In 2000 Friesland chooses the Sportsman of the Century. Sake Wiarda tries to convince the rest of the jury and tells the life story of pole-sitter Taeke Jongsma. Ever since primary school, Taeke has been trying to escape the oppression of the workers in the 1930s. Pile sitting offers him a way out, but also the chance to set an example for the oppressed. Taeke seizes the opportunity, but the woman of his dreams slips through his hands. Will he stay put, or will he choose his great love?
