San Tiao Ren plot
Asano has had a great memory since childhood. Words have tangible shapes, tastes, and colors to him that make them constantly on his mind; as a result, he is unable to forget words he has heard. He cannot express himself well through words, but all the more so with his feelings. Asano is constantly looking for the security of his youth in Okinawa. He travels around a lot and eventually ends up in Hong Kong in a gay bar where he quickly feels at home and finds a piece of security from his childhood. He befriends Kevin, the flamboyant, alcoholic bartender, who leads a very riotous life and whose memory is impaired because of the drink. Mavis is a gloomy, angelic fashion designer who tries to keep her out of trouble. Inside and outside the bar, the three develop a warm and enriching friendship.
