Is that the baby's father?

Over the years, I've read the rave reviews about this film and Clara Bow as the "It girl" with considerable skepticism. How could I have been so wrong? With her energetic performance and infectious emotions, Clara Bow truly leaps off the screen, so much so that you're practically completely focused on her and hardly on the story. She truly is the ultimate flapper, the personification of the Roaring Twenties.

I've now seen two of her films in a short period, besides It also Wings (1927), and I can only conclude that Clara Bow is a true masterpiece. With her radiant, confident, and sympathetic personality, she makes this one of the most appealing silent films. Gary Cooper also has a small supporting role as a journalist.

Charming romantic comedy with a superbly acting and exceptionally beautiful Clara Bow as the absolute attraction.

She seems to me to be an exceptionally versatile actress who can transform her facial expressions from happiness to deep sadness in the blink of an eye, through a mischievous look, a seductive smile or a pout.

To be honest, I didn't know this before, but this must have been a hit in the twenties.

So you see, taking in a "quiet moment" is not wasted time.

A film starring actress Clara Bow as the IT girl, what we would now call sex appeal or the X-factor. And for a film from 1927 (almost 100 years old), the then barely 22-year-old Clara Bow stands out with her acting style and certainly attracts attention. I learned about this film thanks to the movie Babylon, in which lead actress Margot Robbie based her role largely on Clara Bow.

The film is sometimes dated, not difficult for such an old film. But at the same time, Bow brings a breath of fresh air, and the film isn't hampered by the Haynes Code, which, like a form of self-censorship in Hollywood, smoothed out the rough edges. With "IT," Bow reached the height of her career. That same year, she also starred in "Wings," which would win her first Oscar for Best Picture. But after that, things went downhill. Her career didn't survive the transition to sound films and also revealed she had mental health issues.
