Two best friends from London decide to blackmail the perpetrators of a bank robbery. The leader of the gang decides to play dirty tricks to keep the women away from him. When an innocent person falls victim to the blackmail attempts, the two friends do everything they can to trap the criminals.

An occasionally hilarious film, clearly bearing the hallmark of Mel Smith—who has made more of these hyperactive farces, the best example being the Mr. Bean film. Minnie Driver and Mary McCormack are perfectly suited to their roles and the absurd situations they find themselves in. And all of it is spoken in pleasant, coarse English, which adds to the fun.
