Director Jerzy Skolimowski, I mainly know him for the classic pool drama "Deep End" this film may be a bit less visually, but a very intriguing story in which Bates enters the life of Hurt and York fellow by threatening to use his unique ability to scream people to death.
No longer a bizarre horror film a mystery and I would like to add to the list of titles already mentioned by others (The Wicker Man, Don't Look Now, Teorema, Straw Dogs) Peter Weir's " The Last Wave". By the way, did anyone notice that John Hurt was also on the cricket field?
Music by two Genesis guests (not Peter and Phil those 2 others) and the sound effects were done by producer Rupert Hine.
