Nuit Noire, 17 Octobre 1961 plot

On October 17, 1961, a great drama takes place in the streets of Paris. The Algerian war is coming to a bitter end and French society is very much like a police state. There is a curfew in Paris. Immigrants are randomly picked up. The Algerian resistance movement FLN (Front de Libération National) responds by killing police officers just as arbitrarily. On the evening of October 17, 1961, a peaceful demonstration against state and police repression is brutally broken up.
