Frank and free cutscene in which Anderson's opening statement continues to simmer. Lumet tackles it all very energetically with a colorful mix of humor (l'histoire d'O!), some grittier ingredients and a touch of surveillance practices.

Connery is of course the boss of the illustrious company, but it still has a number of eye-catching characters that -of course- make things a bit more complicated. Walken's debut is a bit of an afterthought, but still a nice bonus.

Ingrid in particular is a striking appearance (and climax) who also gets a striking twist. It's a pity that that thread dissolves afterwards, but the robbery has enough hard and soft ammunition where Connery can also play his character for a while.

The snaps, which Lumet also used before, between the theft and the interrogation of victims, give it its own cadence and the way in which the police blockade comes into the picture is as beautiful as it is dry. All in all, something that effortlessly stands up from start to finish.

Good film in which a thief, who has just been released from prison, immediately wants to set up a new heist. A genuine and entertaining heist movie with a long and exciting finale. A smooth edit and also nice to see the 70s technology in the field of surveillance. Furthermore, this is the film debut for Christopher Walken.

Well seen from Lumet how important big brother techniques would become in society. The film is therefore a precursor to films such as "Enemy of the State". It also looks like a warning to criminals ( especially the way it ends . Pretty original heist movie, where the robbery of a luxury apartment building is planned (finally not a bank). Connery is best smart but never realizes that he is being listened to or filmed. He is surrounded by Walken in his debut film, Martin Balsam as a stylish cousin and Val Avery as a sadistic psychopath. The film starts very slowly and only really starts to fascinate halfway through. a lot of uninteresting scenes.
