Ranger Woodrow Call has already buried many of his friends and decides he wants to do one more important act in his life: create a perfect horse breed by crossing wild mustangs with Spanish and English horses. He sends his friend Gideon Walker to find men who can bring a herd of mustangs from Texas to Montana.
